A MESSAGE REGARDING COMMUNION AT HOME

Dear Church ‘Ohana, 

Many of you recall the sermon on March 3rd focusing on what we believe and practice regarding baptism and the Lord’s Supper. If you missed it or cannot recall it, please go online and listen to it here. The message starts at 43:52.

During Covid, we sanctioned the celebration of communion in homes because we were separated from each other. The lockdown is long over, and now we are able to come together and celebrate the Lord’s Supper in person as a family, as is right.

Self-service home communion was a temporary provision. Beginning July 7, 2024 let’s conclude that practice and resume coming together in person.

Of course, for those who are truly homebound, we are ready to come and provide communion to you in your home. Please contact Kathy Makuakane at kathy@fpchawaii.org or 808-440-6556 to arrange this. Someone on the pastoral team will look forward to serving you in this way.
