GIVE ALOHA is Foodland’s matching-gifts program that supports Hawaii’s nonprofits, like First Prez.

Here’s how to GIVE ALOHA during the month of September:

(A) Please go to any Foodland store location.

(B) Have your Maika‘i card, Foodland’s frequent shopper card, handy. If you don’t have one, please request for it at the cashier. The Maika’i card is necessary to make a Give Aloha donation to First Prez.

(C) Make a donation to First Prez (use our code #77299) up to $249 per person. You can donate more than once in September, but the total cannot exceed $249 per donor. If your household has more than one Maika‘i cardholder, each of you can give up to $249.

(D) Keep your receipt for tax purposes. There’s no need to submit it to First Prez since this will be your only record of the donation.

(E) You can also GIVE ALOHA online (with a minimum $35-purchase). Remember to please type “First Presbyterian Church” and our organization code “77299” in the Notes section when checking out.

When you give, Foodland will match a percentage of your gift, and later in October, they will forward to First Prez your donation, plus their matching gift.

If you’re already financially supporting First Prez, we’re not asking you to give an additional $249 to your regular tithes and offerings (although if you did, it would certainly help!). Rather, we ask that for the month of September, you give a portion of your donation through Foodland, which they will forward to us a month later. Your donation will go to the general fund of the church to finance our ongoing ministries and operations.
